Built on Cosmos, Router Chain is a Layer-1 chain with IBC that aims to solve interoperability between EVM and other Cosmos chains.
With Router Chain, they are decentralizing the bridge and allowing validators to secure the connections between different blockchains, making the security of Layer 1 the security of the bridge.
One of the key features of Router Chain is its Middleware that enables computation and the deployment of contracts. This is different from previous bridging solutions, which have been stateless, only allowing messages and asset transfers between chains.
Router Chain offers developers the ability to deploy their dApps on Router Chain and connect to other chains.
This allows developers to have the same assumptions as their dApps on other chains, resulting in more composable dApps. Alternatively, developers can use Router Chain as a transport layer and send signals without touching Router middleware or core.
There are three different frameworks to choose from on Router Chain.
CrossTalk is a framework that solves for token and message transfers between chains, while also allowing for read calls.
Omnichain is a stateful bridging mechanism that provides middleware where apps can implement their own bridging logic on how they execute state changes on various changes.
Voyager is a product built on top of Router Chain that enables token swaps from various chains.
Router has already attracted 70 partners for V1, and their V2 Voyager is abstracting the capabilities of Router Chain, making it easier for web3 enterprises to use its capabilities.
Overall, Router Chain is a significant step forward for interoperability solutions, and it will be exciting to see what developers build on top of it.
Analysis On Blockchain Gaming Industry's Performance

After a turbulent year, January was a positive month for the crypto market. While many factors were similar to other bullish cycles, several statistics made January especially intriguing for blockchain enthusiasts.
Altcoins saw an exceptional performance at the end of January, with GameFi altcoins experiencing significant growth. This indicates the market is strategically waiting for any sign of positive macro news to jump back into highly speculative crypto assets, despite the turmoil of 2022.

The GameFi market has been drying up, and whether the positive sentiment continues for long enough to reignite VC interest in blockchain gaming projects remains to be seen.

However, in January, more than half of the funding went to GameFi infrastructure, suggesting that VCs are less tepid about the GameFi industry.

After a long wait, AAA blockchain games have finally started entering the market. The Beta of Illuvium, one of the most anticipated GameFi titles, has already seen a lot of activity.
Despite positive statistics in GameFi, total funding was the lowest in over a year at $20.9M, with only three projects securing funding deals in January. These were Intella X, Oh Baby Games, and YGG Japan.

In contrast to other ecosystems, BNB's GameFi user numbers declined in January.

However, the number of GameFi users on Polygon tripled from January 1st to January 5th. Most of these gains came from Arc8 by Gamer on Polygon.

Overall, January saw the crypto market perform well. ETH increased from the low-$1,200s at the end of December to a high of $1,660, its best price-performance in a year. Many prominent altcoins saw a doubling, even tripling, of their values. Although the market has been hesitant, the GameFi space saw some growth in terms of active users.
